Visual Story Gallery

The following videos represent final projects for the Visual Story class. Students were divided into production teams of 4 or 5 and worked on a variety of productions throughout the term culminating in one final show-case’ project. Many of these students have had no previous production experience in film or video. The fundamental purpose of this course is to provide students with the basic common language of how to tell a story with moving images. What all of the videos reflect are strong storytelling skills in spite of technical limitations. The Fall 2004 videos represent a diverse spectrum of topics and subjects. From overworked computer hackers finding a common bond in the office, to a whirlwind tour of ‘cool’ Pittsburgh hot spots, to a TV news expose of aliens at ETC, to rabid strawberries running wild in the halls, to crossing that fine line between sanity and virtual insanity, to a scientist recording visual memories of past events, to a sci-fi video based on a short story by Isaac Asimov and much more, there’s a little something for everyone to enjoy.
