| | Tune in to WQED TV-13 at 7:30 PM on Sunday July 1. "AD IT UP is an award winning (http://www.tellyawards.com/) TV pilot starring 9th grade students from throughout the Pittsburgh area. After learning to analyze smoking advertisements, the students are divided into three teams, each of which develops, films, and produces its own media message responding to the tobacco industry. The video documents their successes and struggles throughout the production process, with both incisive and humorous results! "AD IT UP" was produced through a collaboration between the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, the Carnegie Mellon Entertainment Technology Center, Pittsburgh Public Schools, and Baldwin High School. This project, funded by the Maurice Falk Foundation, was developed and coordinated by Brian A. Primack, MD, EdM, Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh.
