Carnegie Mellon University does not provide on-campus housing for graduate students. However, Adelaide has very affordable housing in safe neighborhoods. Use the detailed housing information below to learn more about Adelaide and its neighborhoods before you get here.
There are a number of accommodation options available to international students while studying in Adelaide.

Below is a summary of these options and their approximate costs. Student Living Australia is an accommodation broker and provides a complete service via the web for international students i.e. accommodation bookings and enquiries can be made via their web site prior to leaving home. They cater to a wide range of student requirements, providing a choice of one to five bedroom units throughout the central business district and suburbs. Apartments are also available to visiting academics.
Kathleen Lumley Postgraduate Residential College in North Adelaide, provides students with a single fully furnished room with ensuite and shared common rooms for meals, recreation and laundry. This type of accommodation is more suitable for students who have just completed their year 12 studies and require a supportive community or for a ‘short stay’ visit. It is not ideal for the more mature postgraduate student. Kathleen Lumley College may be suitable for the AusAID sponsored students who need to be provided with 1 weeks accommodation upon arrival in Adelaide, unless they have arranged their accommodation prior to leaving home.

Facilities at residential colleges provide students generally with a single room and ensuite, furnished with a bed, desk, chair, phone and wardrobe.
Students also have access to computers with online access to universities and the Internet, library, music rooms, sporting and laundry facilities.
