2024 Student Handbook
Student handbook for the ETC class that started August 26 2024
We are delighted to welcome Anthony Daniels back to the ETC for his bi-annual visit. Anthony first visited the ETC in 2004 as part of Carnegie Mellon University’s Robot Hall of Fame. Since then Anthony has been visiting the ETC once every semester.
Many ETC students are huge Star Wars fans so you can imagine their excitement when learning they have the opportunity to not only meet with Anthony one-on one, but also have him “play their game” or “interact with their project”. It is a rare opportunity that our students truly enjoy.
Anthony brings a wide range of knowledge and experience to the ETC and is able to critique student work from a unique perspective. Professor Shirley Saldamarco works very closely with Anthony and describes his visits in the following way: “Every semester the student excitement precedes his visit. Our students know that Anthony not only brings his stature as the only actor who has appeared in every Star Wars movie since its premiere in 1972, but also his expertise as an actor. Anthony generously shares his experience and knowledge in acting, story and script writing , themed entertainment and even music and sound to help the teams develop their projects. He is totally dedicated to the students and spends tireless hours visiting teams and engaging in individual discussions. He has an open door policy and there is always a constant stream of students looking for his feedback. He genuinely cares about the students and is the most generous and caring person I’ve ever met”.
We are excited to have Anthony back at the ETC and our students look forward to working with him.
