You may see a few familiar faces from the ETC this year at SIGGRAPH2015 in Los Angeles next week.
Matt Costa (’12) is serving as Committee Member for the Computer Animation Festival. Matt is currently an Associate Video Editor at Riot Games.
WEVR will be in the VR Village Sunday – Tuesday. This is a startup that Ben Miller (’10) helped to build and is their Director of Content.
Brandon Kang (expected ’16)– Will be at the Disney Research Booth.
Roma Dave (’15) – Will be at Epson’s exhibitor booth to show the game Element Rush which was made at by the Illusion team during the spring 2015 semester at the ETC-SV location.
SIGGRAPH Volunteers include Nafisa Baker (’15), Jingyu (Irenee) Liu ( expected ’16) and Hannah Liu (expected ’16).
Don’t forget to stop by the ETC booth (#1130) and say “hi” to Rebecca, Susan and MaryCatherine during the Exhibition, South Hall J August 11-13.
The annual SIGGRAPH conference is a five-day interdisciplinary educational experience in the latest computer graphics and interactive techniques, including a three-day commercial exhibition that attracts hundreds of exhibitors from around the world. The conference also hosts the international SIGGRAPH Computer Animation Festival, showcasing works from the world’s most innovative and accomplished digital film and video creators. Juried and curated content includes outstanding achievements in time-based art, scientific visualization, visual effects, real-time graphics, and narrative shorts. SIGGRAPH 2015 will take place from 9-13 August 2015 in Los Angeles, California.
