ETC student team wins 2015 Blueprint Challenge: Games

Four ETC students entered their 2D puzzler platformer game, Scrolling, in Microsoft’s Imagine Cup as part of the 2015 Blueprint Challenge: GamesXunchi Sun, Feiran Wang, Mei Xue and Junwen Chen submitted a document outlining their idea and were recently announced as the Winners in the Game Category.

Scrolling uses  a scroll-to-scale mechanism where players use a scroll wheel to scale the hero, Rith, to find energy cubes from a deserted plant, PH321.  The hero has a supernatural power to scale himself, and an object, to complete his missions.   On Rith’s journey, he gradually discovers why the planet is deserted, and a thought-provoking fact is to be revealed.

Congratulations to the team and good luck in the United States Imagine Cup!
