Blue Dreamers collaborates with ArticuLab at The Human Computer Interaction Institute (HCII), Carnegie Mellon University(CMU) to make an engaging and educational experience which includes knowing different uses of Mainstream American English and African American Vernacular in different contexts for African American children.
We are focussing on building the experience of an educational interaction with Alex (a digital character created by HCII) to collaborate with children on a science project, and at the same time assists them in learning Mainstream American English for classroom use while still respecting their use of African American Vernacular English outside the classroom.
