The edelweiss is a survivor.
A growing body of evidence suggests that a majority of children and adolescents are exposed to trauma. However, mental health is an uncomfortable topic and is often overlooked in pediatric settings. Thus, trauma goes undetected.
Team Edelweiss, with our client Allegheny Health Network, aims to create an immersive and fun experience on mobile platforms to screen youth trauma exposure and symptoms in pediatric primary care settings. This will assist pediatricians in beginning the conversation and getting children the help they need. The target population will be children ages 7 to 14 and their caregivers.
