Have you ever wondered if the uniqueness of the objects that surround us could be expressed by a piece of melody? How would you like to discover them?
We are team Nickel and our goal is to decode the melody behind everyday objects using 3D scanner technology. We are building a web platform that allows users to scan, modify and listen to the music generated from real world objects.
A user will be able to scan a physical object into a virtual space, generating a 3D model hosted on our platform. Our platform then automatically discovers and plays the object’s hidden melody. By using our powerful tools, the player can also modify the 3D model to change the music in real time. The web platform will provide users a new way to discover, compose, edit and present music.
We believe that our platform will inspire artists and enable them to create and share music in a visual fashion.
The scanning and model generation parts of the platform are powered by RAM technology.
