Sawmill is the first half of a yearlong game-development studio at the Entertainment Technology Center. Using Amazon’s cutting-edge Lumberyard engine, the team is designing and architecting an audience-participation game that uses Twitch.tv as an integral part of its mechanics. Sawmill takes the project through the conception and preproduction stages to deliver a clear, robust design and architecture to next semester’s team, who will expand on Sawmill’s original work and add their own contributions to produce a complete game experience.
