The goal of this project is to create a mobile app to support health education, and socialization of children with asthma. Our audience is children ages 7-11 and their parents or caregivers from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. The app will help children and parents understand they can live life normally such as attend school regularly, play sports, and socialize. We expect that children will change their perceptions and feel empowered to control their symptoms. The app is a part of STARS /CAReS* projects which aims to determine the prevalence of asthma in this region as well as treat and educate uncontrolled asthmatics.
