SurThrive

SurThrive is working with faculty from Carnegie Mellon University’s Human Computer Interaction Institute to develop a game that will change the way people think about natural disasters. Despite how disasters are portrayed in the media, people rarely panic or turn violent in the face of destruction. Rather, most people use it as an opportunity to connect with their neighbors and selflessly help one another. Our goal is to design a game that will educate and inform people about this side of natural disasters. The researchers will then take our work and use it to explore best practices for designing educational and transformative games.
