“Shipbreakers” a film by Paul Goodman, ETC assistant teaching professor Ralph Vituccio and Tom Clancey was recently screened at the 11th edition of the Green Film Festival. The festival in Seoul has been the one and only environmental film festival in Korea and the biggest one in Asia and dedicated to introduce and promote environmentally significant films to a wide range of audience.
In addition, “Shipbreakers” has been accepted as one of the finalists in the Third World International Film Festival (TWIFF). The TWIFF festival celebrates filmmakers worldwide whose topics deal with issues of the third world. The festival promotes awareness to social issues, helps gain a deeper understanding and greater respect for different cultures, and provides a platform for filmmakers to introduce their films to the broadest possible audience. The film festival will take place in San Francisco and Silicon Valley this September. Screening dates TBA.
