Admission is on a rolling
basis. Please submit all
of your application materials
together before the above
deadline.
You will be sent a letter
of notification within
a few weeks of our receipt
of your application materials.
Please note that we
will continue to accept
applications through June
1, 2005, pending available
space in the program.
Fees
In addition to the $30 application fee, full settlement
of fees (excluding the cost of books) must be postmarked
by June 6, 2005, (international mail postmarked by
May 6, 2005) for enrollment in the six-week summer
program.

Form
Completed application form post-marked by May 1, 2005
(international applications should be postmarked by April
1, 2005). Please note that we will continue to accept applications

2 Application
Fee
An application fee of $30 made payable to Carnegie Mellon
University. (Non-refundable)
3. High School
Transcript
An official, recent high school transcript. This transcript
should include as complete a listing as possible of your
classes and grades.
4. Standardized
Test Scores
Your most recent PSAT, SAT I, PACT or ACT standardized
test results.
5. Letter of
Recommendation
A letter of recommendation from your guidance counselor
or two teachers who are familiar with your work habits as
well as your academic and artistic progress and promise,
or your response to teaching/directing and spirit of cooperation
in group situations.
6. Activities
Resumé
An activities
resumé describing
in detail your extracurricular
activities and/or work experience, or your experiences
as they relate to the
video gaming.
7. Essay
A one-page, typed essay answering one of the following
questions:
- Please describe in
detail
some special interest,
experience
or achievement that
you would like us to
know about you.
- Describe the intellectual,
cultural
or creative experience
of the past two years
that has given you the
greatest satisfaction.
- What interests do
you have
or what academic or
artistic experiences
have
you had that sets you
apart from most other
people
your age?
8. International
Students
If you're an international student whose native language
is not English and your SAT verbal score is less than 600,
you must submit the results of the Test of English as a
Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language
Testing System (IELTS) in addition to other required standardized
tests. A TOEFL score of 600 paper-based/250 computer-based
or an IELTS score of 7 and above is preferred.
