About Us

Nicholas Sciannameo
Producer
Nick is taking on the producer-role for the first time in an ETC project and looks forward to working through the many strategic and creative challenges the Atomic Zone poses with the team.  His interest is primarily rooted is creating an experience in which a historical event is presented to a new audience in a unique, engaging, and informative way.  Let’s just hope nothing blows up.

Rodrigo Cano
Programmer
After exploring game design over the summer, Rod is putting his new-found skills to use in his first ever ETC project. He chose the Atomic Zone for its wartime theme and its exploration into the human psyche. He loves strategy games, role playing games, food, and cats.

Noreen Durkin
3D Artist, Animator
Noreen is an ambitious 3d artist with interests in writing and storytelling.  She feels that narrative and story often take a backseat to gameplay and that this project is a chance to mesh both into an unforgettable experience with emotional impact.  As the 3d modeler and animator, she has a lot to take on with the harsh recreation of the atomic bombing, but she is up to the challenge.

Eric Hamel
Sound Designer, Composer
It has taken Eric a full five months to be able to say out loud: “I am a game designer.”  Eric’s background lies in theatre and music, and he is serving as the sound designer/composer for the Atomic Zone.  He is especially attracted to this project because of the inherent challenges in developing such an emotionally charged experience.  Eric likes hats but what he really wants to wear are vests and ties.

Jason Hsu
P
rogrammer
Jason is a programmer, electrical engineer, teacher, and food enthusiast. He likes playing tennis, watching TV, sleeping, coding, and commas. He hates finding parking in Pittsburgh. He chose the Atomic Zone to explore the challenges, both technical and design, involved in creating a compelling, educational, and interactive narrative.

Anabelle Lee
2D Artist

Anabelle hates getting her photo taken. Anabelle also hates writing in third person, but will go along with it since that seems to be the standard in these sorts of situations. What she does like is obnoxious hoodies. She has a background in professional and creative writing with a healthy dose of graphic design, and very much looks forward to working with the complex narrative and visual elements of the Atomic Zone.
