Week 11

Fresh from the playtest on Saturday, the team was excited to show the prototype to our Clients. On Monday we visited SAE’s office in Cranberry, PA. We got the opportunity to meet everyone face to face. They had a beautiful office and we went to a conference room where we presented our playable prototype. They were happy with our progress so far and also were excited to see all our playtest feedback that we got on Saturday. They were happy to see the players having meaningful discussions to select the correct part and feeling that they were actually designing a car.

Tuesday started with the team doing scrum and making a task distribution list for the next 2 weeks. With everyone knowing what needed to be done we focused on implementing the game features.

On Wednesday the team worked on the overall design of the game. We also started working on implementing the how to play instruction scene as that was one of the major feedback from the playtest. We also had meetings about different states of buttons and how they should respond to different interactions. All these discussions helped us have a clear idea of the overall interface design of the game.

Thursday was spent implementing “How to Play” Screen and also different interactions like mouse over cause what effect. Anil continued working on the backend which was to handle the situation when the project manager declined a part. Ashley continued working on designing the pages and Kanishk was implementing all these pages in Unity. Johnson worked with making the logging in to a same room feature more stable.

Friday most of the team attended the Unity VR workshop and continued to work on their tasks after the workshop.
