Week 12

Week 12 started with an adviser meeting where we updated them on our progress and also shared with them details about the ETC playtest day and also our client visit. The client meeting was cancelled this Monday due to some conflicts with the client schedule. The team continued working on implementing the missing features from the game.

Tuesday everyone worked on their own individual tasks. Johnson and Anil continued working on the backend and making sure that all the tables on the server had all the required information on it. Anil also finished adding in a second story which the project manager would receive. Ashley made some new icons for the home screens of each player to resolve some issues we were having with mouse events. Kanishk continued on making the UI screen of the programmer and making sure the layout and functionality of each button was appropriate and implemented correctly.

On Wednesday, Ashley and Kanishk had a quick meeting to discuss how the animations should work on each player’s UI screen. We were almost at finalizing the home screen for each role and started focusing on other screens like design center and evaluation.

Thursday we had Carl visit our project room. He spent almost an hour with us and was really curious to know the kind of work we were doing. He understood the core concept of the  game and had good feedback that we were heading in the right direction. He also said that this is a challenging space and we need to make sure that we make the players feel that they are actually a team and work together to solve this problem.

Friday was mostly spent on heads down work with the team working together to finish all the tasks at hand. We had almost implemented an instruction screen for each of the roles and were focusing on the animations to make sure they get enough information about a button when the mouse over so that they know the functionality of each button.
