Week 15

Week 15 started with a meeting with Jessica Hammer. We got a lot of good feedback from Jessica Hammer to make our game more clearly understood by the players. We started working towards making those changes. We also had a meeting with our advisers updating them on our status and also what we were planning on improving that week. The team worked on changing the UI Screens like Log-in, Home Screen and button interactions. We tried to make things more clearly understandable by removing confusing elements from our scene and replacing them with simpler easily understood elements like the time wheel.

Tuesday the team worked towards making the promotional video. We created a setup with lights and cameras in our project room and started recording each one of us talking about the project. We also worked on archiving and updating the website. We added tabs for our final product and UI/UX design on the website and filled them with the appropriate contents. The team also took one topic of the final presentation and started working on creating the first draft of the power point. We also decided who is going to be working on the technical and design documents so we could make them.

Wednesday was the day of the festival. So we all came and tried to set everything in the room for the festival. We were all excited to show our prototype to all the guests. We also continued working on the final presentation. The festival went great with a lot of people giving us some great feedback. We also had some interest from some guests who would like to use our game in the future if our client develops this game further.

Thursday morning Johnson and Kanishk visited our client at their offices to show our almost final version and all the changes and new features that we built in our game. We also got some feedback from them about what they thought about our prototype and how it was working with us this semester. It was mostly positive. We also had an adviser meeting where they reviewed our finals presentation and gave us feedback. There was a lot of room for improvement so we all focused on working on the presentation that day. We also modified the ‘How to Play’ screen and made it less cluttered by using a step by step animation to explain the game. We also modified buttons in the design center and worked on making the leader board and timer count down more accurate.

On Friday, we were almost done with most of the game-play changes and fixing all the errors in our game UI. We also were done with the final presentation and started having mock presentations in our project room.

Over the weekend the team worked towards fixing all the small bugs and also doing many more practice presentations in the RPIS. We are all looking forward to a successful presentation on Monday.
