Week 16

Monday was our final presentation and we were the first team presenting. We were all excited to show everyone our progress throughout the semester. The presentation went quite well. We all spoke confidently and we also explained our game design. We also did make a lot of changes after softs based on faculty feedback.

On Tuesday, Ashley and Kanishk had their final exam in the afternoon for their electives. Anil and Johnson continued working on fixing some small last minute bugs that we had in our game. Ashley and Kanishk also joined and then we had a meeting to decide how to present our game in a clear manner for the final playthroughs the next day. We also recorded the video of our final gameplay to update it in the promotion video.

Wednesday morning we had Dave, John, Mike and Ruth visit our project room for final playthroughs. They played the entire game, communicating while they were making decisions and felt that the core of the game design captured the requirements of the client well. We also had certain areas we could make some quick fixes which we did after the final playthroughs. After finishing the playthroughs, we prepared for final client handoff which was scheduled for that evening. We visited SAE and gave them a presentation of what we learnt throughout the semester. We also had our clients try the playable prototype and it was great to see them try our entire experience. They also were happy with our work this semester especially as this was a proof of concept and we made sure that this could be used as a basis to develop this project further. We also went for team dinner that night and had great Korean food.

Thursday we came in to finish archiving. We put everything on Randon, updated the website and also updated our final promotion video. This marked the end of a challenging semester. We would like to extend a special thanks to our client and are very grateful to them as they have been nothing but supporting throughout the semester and we hope we can take the game further or get inspired from it and develop something interesting to launch it all to all their students.
