Week 3

This week kicked off with an adviser meeting and explained to them the process of our pitching. We also sat together and made a set of questions to make sure our prototypes would cater to the right audience and to make sure we were on the same page when it cam
e to the development. We then made a pitch deck and presented to the client our four ideas. The client liked the four ideas and they decided to move ahead with a garage like setting where 4 players take the role of the garage manager, a procurer/inventory manager and two mechanics.

The game idea is to have the players communicate with each other and make decisions based on the requirements that come in. Each player will have a common backdrop while playing the game but will have a different user interface based on what role they select. This game was inspired from Car Mechanic Simulator but the difference being that this game would be done in a multiplayer setting.

We also took these ideas to Jesse Schell and Jessica Hammer and walked them through our idea and how we plan on working on it. We received some good feedback from both of them.

Once we were in a good spot with the pitch, we started working on branding and the project description. Initial phase of the branding was completed and we decided on what our poster would like. Will upload the completed version of the half sheet and the poster in the coming week along with our team photo. But here’s a sneak peek of what’s coming. Speaking of branding, we also ordered theming material for the room. This included car posters, racing checkered flags and couple of car models. Those will be arriving sometime next week.

Shirlee Yee gave us constructive feedback on the branding and we plan on integrating them into the branding during the coming week.
