Week 7

Week 7 started with the entire team focusing on development. On Monday we had a client meeting where we updated them on our progress of the past week. We did our weekly scrum and the distribution of tasks for each member on the team.  Anil and Johnson kept working on making the network architecture. Ashley focused on the game design space which included feature design, process flow and each player’s screen and its UI. Kanishk made the entire game-play loop and and sent it to the University of Pittsburgh FSAE team and the faculty adviser William. Ashley also did more research using the Online Learning Initiatives that Ralph recommended.

Tuesday started with a visit from Amazon Twitch. They provided us with some great feedback like considering manufacturing cost and also how the soft skills optimize the whole process. The team then did our daily scrum. Ashley also finished making the first draft of the Project Manager and Inventory Manager’s UI screen.

Wednesday was our weekly adviser meeting with Scott and Tom. Ashley also finished the paper prototype screens of the two mechanics/designers. We researched as a team on the UI style of our game and came to a final conclusion.

Thursday we had a visit from the Take Two CEO. He was impressed with our project and said we are working in a very challenging space and would be a great achievement if we can pull it off. The rest of the day was spent in heads down work.

Friday we had a Skype call with Heroic Labs, the company whose SDK we are using for the back-end. They provided us with great tips and also good documentation to help us move forward. We felt this was a productive week in terms of the development we got done. We still plan on pushing harder and making sure we work faster in the following weeks.
