Week 9

Week 9 started with our halves presentation. The team worked hard over the weekend making the product and also practicing for the presentation. The presentation on Monday went pretty well. We stuck to the time limit, presented content clearly and also answered all the questions confidently.

Tuesday started with a team meeting to plan the tasks for the next sprint. The team had discussions about the design phase of our game. We needed a balance between our ability to implement a game with the requirements and between giving them too much freedom to design. The team decided to have basic implementation of the design stage right now as making a fun and engaging game-play loop was of utmost priority for the upcoming play-test. Ashley also provided Kanishk with the art assets for the home screen of the project manager and the engineers. Kanishk worked on creating the UI in unity.

Wednesday was more of heads down and work day where everyone focused on making the Project Manager screen and all the tabs on that page working. Ashley worked on the art assets, Kanishk worked on the front end of that screen and Anil and Johnson worked on the server and databases.

Thursday the team had a project shadowing meeting with the first years where we briefed them about the project. Ashley and Kanishk worked together on the task wheel and also on the various animations involved with it. We also received an email from our instructors Scott and Tom about the feedback of our halves presentation which was mostly positive.

Friday was connecting the front end with data from the server. Anil and Johnson made it possible to send share data among different players by sending data through the server. The rest of the day was just spent working with the different parts of the game.
