This Friday, ETC Silicon Valley campus had Soft Opening Showcase at EA Redwood Shores Campus. The showcase started as people watching us play, but soon they started to play with us. Newsletter Week 13: The playtest week

This week, Team Crescendo Encore has be working in a super fast pace. DoReMi Pets’ second music piece–Cancan– is coming online for playtesting at the CMU West Carnival. The interactive tutorial has been continuing. So far we have Clarinet and French Horn’s art assets ready, and our programmer is working on getting them in game as soon as possible. The game flow is completed (except for the tutorial part).

Newsletter Week 12: Wires are encased

In week 10, the team prioritized tasks for the rest of the semester, this week we have been accomplishing well in getting more complete game flow into the game. We now have the summary screen which will show players’ individual performance, their rewarding titles, how well the team collaborates, and the accuracy comparison between the current performance and the history record.

Newsletter Week 11: The first playtest with children

By having majority of the art assets implemented, our game, DoReMi Pets, has a more complete look and feel than ever before. Three instruments –Timpani, Clarinet, and French Horn–are already fully functional in the game. Violin’s prototype is finished, and it’s going to be implemented real soon. By the end of next week, Crescendo Encore’s all four instruments should be available for playing the game with.
