Project Overview

What is Crowd Pleaser?

Crowd Pleaser is a group of artists, programmers, and innovators developing a themed group interaction experience inspired by the techniques explored by Dan Maynes's senior thesis.

Using computer vision and real-time sound localization and processing to create engaging, highly participatory activities at Carnegie Mellon University.

Goals
The main goal of our group is to provide a multi-user interactive entertainment experience in which guests play in an augmented virtual space.

Our Concept
An unexpected yet strangely alluring carnival set at twilight and inspired by similar experiences staged around the early to mid-twentieth century.
Some terms that engender the feeling of our concept:
o        upper middle class, refined, yet not decadent
o        unknown, oddly happy, not overly inviting, lush
o        primary and familiar colors, gradients, warm tones
o        1920s-1950s, Coney Island, Luna Park
