This week team Daedalus is proud to present our first iteration of level 1 in our game. We have completed most major features in the minimal release version of our product including but not limited to, an optimized movement and path finding system, character dialogue and portraits with emotions, an animated and attractive question interface and a brand new game world. Below are a few screenshots of our key features and our game world.

We have also made changes to our characters based on last week’s feedback session. From our feedback our characters look very young, and although it is common for people above the age of 25 to want to look young, students in high school prefer to look older than their current age. Thus we have aged our characters to look more mature and more ideal looking for our target demographic.

Finally, this coming week we will be conducting a series of play tests of our current level with testers of our target demographic, our hope is that the data we collect will not have a significant difference from the data we collected previously from older play testers, that way we will be able to have easier access to information on our demographic without the troubles of looking for a large number of high school students. We look forward to sharing our play test results with you next week.
