This week, Team FIYMI cranked out the entirety of scenes 2 and 3 while also blocking out scene 4!

As you can see from above, we got help from Michael Gasaway and Dave Bossert who both recommended we insert motion and lens blur in order to better show movement and depth of field. The team unanimously liked the effect as it helped bring depth and life to the shots.

We all collaborated with Mike’s help on blocking out the scene 4 cameras to make sure we pushed the emotion of the scene and accentuate Art and Molly’s relationship.

Luo cleaned up the animation for scene 1 and looped it so Isaac can spin in wonder infinitely. This way, we were able to block out the camera and make sure we balanced the scene between Isaac and the new environment. This is a very important shot, so we are making sure we are taking every precaution to preserve the emotion while keeping technical specs in mind since this will blend with live action.

Additionally, Catherine is refining the music and making sure to time the melody with the beats and emotion changes of the scene.

Next week we will continue to light and render scene 4 and scene 1. We also have our live action shoots on Friday and Saturday!
