Week 3 in Flint…

Hi all! Nice to see you again! Team Flint aimed at working out the concept of our experience with the client in this week. It was a fruitful week!

On Monday the team shared with the advisors about our campus visit. The advisors gave us valuable feedback on it. After that faculties visited our room and checked our branding materials. They all liked the design, but the same time also pointed out the flaws which definitely help us improve it. In the rest of the day, the team worked on the experience of our project. We would like to quickly iterate it with the client.

On Tuesday the team discussed on the ideas about the experience and shared it with our clients. The clients replied with their comments, and they also sent us a lot of materials to help us. Thank you very much!

On Wednesday the team quickly responded to the feedback from the client and work on improvements.

On Thursday we started to prepare a presentation and we hoped to present it to the client on Friday, so we could get quick feedback on it.

On Friday the presentation went smooth and we were much more clear about what the client wanted. The team discussed about it right after the presentation. The next iteration will be there!

The team felt that we needed a lot of help from the content experts. We were then reaching out via our network, and looked up the communities that might help over the Internet. We tried to run as fast as possible as always!

See you next week!

Week 2 in Flint…

Hi there, welcome to project Flint!

Flint is a 2015 Fall ETC project aiming at creating an interactive experience at the Energy Lab at Elizabeth Forward Middle School for Grade 7 kids.

This week, Flint aimed at effective communication with the client, and tried to figure out what the project would look like. The team had two brainstorming sessions, one on Tuesday and one on Wednesday after meeting our advisors. In these sessions, team members tried their best to find possible interactions that may attract Grade 7 kids, while the same time strictly connected to the scene – Energy Lab.

On Thursday, the team visited our client – Elizabeth Forward Middle School at their campus. The client introduced the project to the team, and demonstrated the previous Energy Lab projects. After that, the team presented several pitch ideas to the client, and asked the client for their comment. The client was excited about the pitch, and they gave the team many useful suggestions. The team decided to quickly work out a second pitch in the coming week and try to fix the deliverables asap.

On Friday the team enjoyed a short break and took their team photos!

The team will start prototyping technical challenges and figure out the Dos and Don’ts in the next week. Also, as mentioned above, the team will continue the iteration with the client to define the deliverables for the project.

See you next week!
