Week 9

We just finished our Halves Presentation! YAY!

The past week was a totally Halves week, since we spent a lot of time and effort on our Halves Presentation. We looked back at the previous weeks and reflected on what we have done carefully for making a good document to present to our faculty and classmates. We discussed and learned a lot when we were preparing how to present our works in the public, and finally had a better understanding for how we should develop our project in the future.

Look at our beautiful Power Point document! Thanks to Erika’s hard work!

In our presentation, we also showed our paper test video for explaining the design our original board game better. Check out our video below:

What’s more, we showed our prototype demo in VR to deliver a better description of our game. For now, in our game, we have functions of generating maps, changing stages of tiles, revealing items, sending items to another player, synchronizing the actions between players and synchronizing the movements of avatars.

For technical development of our project, we concluded two maps for explaining how the functions have been realized.

How to generate random map? ↑           How to synchronize the movements of  players?

We also have a good scope about how we would measure our success and what we expect for Softs.

We look forward to the advice from our faculty and classmates about our project and presentation. After we have received the feedback, we will review them carefully.

We have 5 weeks left for finishing our project in this semester, and we will have more discussion about how to go further and how to move faster in the next stage next week. However, we have done a good job before Halves, and we have confidence to keep going on well in the future! OH YEAH!

Love you all, my team 😉 !
