We’ve had an extremely exciting week here at our headquarters, as we were finally able to do a live playtest of our interactive experience from beginning to end — and everything worked! (mostly…)

We had 8 great playtesters spend 10 minutes each in our world, and they gave great feedback and direction for moving forward. We were all surprised at how willing our guests were to be sucked into Fred’s world, and it was a much needed boost to the team to see the hard work pay off.

Moving forward, we’re spending the next two weeks polishing our experience into a shiny gem for softs. Our tasks are known — now we just have to execute on them and playtest as much as we can before the big reveal.

Arseniy is working to record all of the sound we need to create a full experience, Dilara and Heather are tackling programming and visual bugs, Allen is working on refining the script and making it actually funny (yikes) and Momo is working to bring Fred to life through more animations.

Also this past week, our improv extraordinaire Woody Drennan stopped by to give us more advice on our prototype and help us wrangle the script further. Some of the team made it out to his show at the Steel City Improv Theater later that night for a live lesson in comedy!

Stay posted as we continue to work on the experience — we should have a working beta by the end of the week!
