When Andrew was applying for college he was torn between pursuing a degree in engineering or technical theatre. When visiting Carnegie Mellon he somehow stumbled upon the ETC and was amazed to see what was possible when the arts and the sciences are combined. It was then that he decided that the ETC was for him. His hate for calculus won out and he went the theatre route, but after four years of that the draw to the ETC was still very strong and here he is!
Andrew comes to the ETC with a strong background in lighting and sound design. His time in the theatre gave him an eye for aesthetics and a good feel for how to visually tell a story to an audience. He hopes to apply these strengths to the building of immersive environments and to help further digital storytelling.
He hopes that during his journey at the ETC he will be able to build upon his core strengths while finding new interests along the way.
