Things are getting close to the end. We went to the Schrader Center Friday to install. We have our kiosk done and it looks pretty good. Even runs unity pretty well.

Was taking some test videos today. Made the mistake of leaving on my Pandora while doing so but it gives it a sort of dreamy feel.

Today I spent the morning making the zone one a little easier to get around. Now we have it so the area is more open so people can easily travel around.

We found out about this after testing. We also added in short grass that would cause less problems with the camera.

We are also planning things for our floor decals. We are wanting to bring in some of the work we have been doing with the digital experience into the theme. To do this we used some of the same graphics to build the design we have so far.

Cut Scenes

Been working on some of the extra bits for the experience. Worked on getting the cut scenes going while Sandi worked on gestures, Sarah worked on the dragonfly and Noe worked on the start screens and UI.

Better watch those salamanders

It’s Monday of week 11.

We are working to get things rolling on our other two pieces of the experience. While our assets are complete, and most of our mechanics hammered out we are wanting to add a little fun into our game play. Last Friday the day ended with having a game design meeting. We talked for awhile about the zone 2 experience. The experience for this is going to be focusing of defending your territory!

Better get those guys out of your territory before they eat up your food! So our of the main experience’s goals is to scare off some little salamanders that are eating up your food supply. If you don’t get them out in time you aren’t going to be in tiptop shape to keep protecting your territory! You don’t want that if some bigger salamander comes a long looking at your space like it might be a nice place to live. So eat up all the bugs you can to keep your health high and drive all those salamanders off.

We are hoping this experience will get your competitive side going while our first zone gets you wanting to go on an adventure.

Playing around

Today started off with testing changes we made yesterday. Things seem to be working much smoother and can only go up from there.

We have been adding in new animations for the snake fight. We have also been fine tuning the slime meter and the movement.The team as a whole had a sit down where we talked about where we are going from here with the audio and the gestures. We are planning to cut some extra audio to add in more instructional audio we believe will help drive a player through the experience.

Also, we have started working on the dragon fly experience. We have a fully modeled and rigged dragon fly to use in our already complete environment.

Our programmer hard at work testing while developing. We have a feature during the snake fight that it will snap a picture and show you at the end.
