Improving the experience


The semester is getting started into its 6th week. We have made it a little over a quarter and we still have a long way to go. Lots of important deadlines are coming up in the near future.

This week we are focusing on getting our experience finalized and the finished concept for the environment finished. The first half of this week is devoted to making a map for the environment. This is going to be used during our brainstorming meeting. What we will be able to do is sit down and put markers on it for things such as where will place sound or where a mini activity might take place.

Last week while getting ready for our Quarter Walk around we also focused a lot of time on fleshing out experience flow. We are currently working on a document that better goes over our idea while at the same time we are making our environment.

We are on our second pass of storyboards so far that we are using to explain our experience.

While we are working on the design, we have also started to work a lot on custom asset creation. Today we started to work on the snake. Other model sheets for snails, bugs, and birds are in the work.

Other things to look forward to, Audio and dynamic walking have been started today in the team room.

We are also working on making the salamander animations better. We have since gotten feed back how how to better improve the realistic level of the walk.
