Finals

And with that… we’re done!

It’s been a whirlwind of a semester, and we’re very happy to say that we’re finished!

We’ve learned so much this semester:

  • We learned that kids are smart. Like WAY smarter than adults. (My working theory: biases that we develop as we grow up actually impair some of our basic cognitive functions.)
  • We learned the difference between designing for an experience vs. a game. Experiences don’t necessarily need to have a finite beginning or end, and they don’t have a win state.
  • We learned to build small components to playtest often.
  • We learned how to balance client needs with faculty needs. And how to express all of the work that we’ve done to faculty (I’ve gotten really good at making slide decks).
  • AND we learned how to be kind!

We hope that you’ve enjoyed following our journey this semester. Please enjoy our final presentation:

And our final walkthrough in our demo room!

One Small Act
