Water Palace

Cut Scene:
When you get to the Water Palace, you realize that it's not water at all - it's all been iced over! A giant icy gate almost smirks at you as the cold, desolate castle towers behind it.

Upon finally entering the palace walls, you look around to see crystals everywhere. Chandeliers move like they want to speak and your reflection jumps around like fleas around horse ears. A dark guard marches smartly into view and notices you. In a loud booming voice he declares "Who are you? What are you doing here?!"

You begin to answer when a shrill female voice comes from the other room "Who dares disturb my celebration!? Bring her to me!"

The guard grabs you, despite your protests and pulls you into the next room. He whispers harshly to Alice "You'd better treat Queen Aquaria with respect."

In the center of the gigantic room is a long dinning table, set glamorously for large feast. But all the food has become frozen and there are no guests around. The Queen sits at the head of the empty table, haughty and proud. The lake around her has turned to complete ice, where fish are sleeping underneath. She angrily tosses you into an ice prison and decides to keep your puppy for herself.

The Water Queen begins to berate you for stepping foot into her land threatens to capture you as punishment. You attempt to negotiate with her and eventually the Queen begins to calm down. Midnight pops up at this point and hands you a magic card deck - the final game you must pass in order to go home.

Interactive - Card based negotiation:
In this game, you attempt to pacify the Queen by offering other solutions. The Queen offers counter suggestions and in the process you discover the Queen's real issues.

It turns out that the Queen is actually very lonely and eventually her heart turned to ice. None of the other characters came to her birthday party and no one gave her any birthday presents.

As you discover these issues, new solutions appear and you can offer up the NPC's in your network as proof that the Queen is well loved. You can also offer to visit her and give her items as birthday presents.

Cut Scene:
In the end, you promise to visit the Queen often so that she won't get lonely. Her heart warms, thanks to her newfound friends and the ice begins to melt. It's raining again! The queen uses her magic to send you back to your world-and just in time. The party is about to start, your parents have been looking all over for you. You see a mysterious gift on the table; it's slightly different from all the rest. You open it and realize it is a beautiful necklace with a pendant shaped like a drop of water. The card says, "I understand, it's your birthday. Thank you for being a friend."
