Getting ready to install, and contacting Randy’s family

We got a surprise message from Randy’s sister, Tammy Pausch who expressed interest in helping us with the project. She gave us a lot of guidelines of who Randy was, and a bunch of photos and stories that we can include into the experience. It was a great moment for the team to have Tammy on the team.

This week the team cleaned out the third floor alcove where our installation will be hosted and it was a lot of fun to get everyone moving.

We had to say goodbye to superman and the arcade machine, and moved them somewhere else. Once we had the area cleared out we put in black foam core to block out the lights so then it wouldn’t interfere with our hologram effects. We had a lot of fun choosing the paint color to go on the walls and carpet colors to put on the ground. It will be sparkle blue paint to look like space, and blue gradient carpet on the floor.
