This week, we began to orient ourselves toward mid-semester presentations. We want to be able to demonstrate our conscientiousness toward effective environment transitions and emotive movements, as well as a fully integrated and animated dance. For that to happen, we needed to lock in a few things and defend them from change for the remainder of the semester:

  1. Sequence of events
  2. Environment time period and asset list
  3. Desired transition effect between cultural dance

Quarters is a unique opportunity that projects at the ETC have to demonstrate progress and intention, and for teams to get feedback from multidisciplinary faculty. We were able to present and walk through our story using a timed animatic, and provide supporting concept art to give a fully picture of our goals.…

Week 4 is our final week of preparation before Quarters. Quarters is when the faculty get a chance to see the intent of our project, the evidence of our research, and the level of coordination we are prepared to enact in achieving our goal.…

It has been exciting week here at Ripieno. After all our hard work, we finally feel ready to begin the prototyping process. By Tuesday of next week, we are aiming to have a full 360° blocked out version of our story.…

 

This week we got organized in our process, story, and team identity.

We began by adapting the agile philosophy to our project by instituting Scrum. Agile follows the four philosophies: 1) Individuals and interactions are more important that process and tolls; 2) working product is more important that documentation; 3) consumer collaboration is more important than contract negotiation; and responding to change is more important that following the plan.…

This is what we have been tasked to create over the next semester. We being Ripieno, a team of two 2D artists, two 3D artists, a tech artist, and a composer.…
