This involves clips of from EyeVision in SuperBowl 35. We begin at a sports anchor desk with the stadium behind. Our reporters are Jim on stage right and Carl on stage left.
JIM
Good evening ladies and gentlemen, Jim Miller here! RoboBowl III is finally here.
Welcome to our preshow where we'll give you a sneak peek of what to expect from our teams
today and show you some of the exciting new technologies involved in our broadcast. I'm
joined tonight by senior analyst Carl Rogers. Carl, are you excited?
CARL
Jim, this is the premiere event of all robotic sports, how can I not be excited? Let's
show the folks at home what we've got cooked up tonight.
JIM
Superbowl 35 saw the debut of a dazzling new way to view the game called "EyeVision".
(start clips from SuperBowl) This technology gave the television audience views of the action
from any angle, and even created entirely new shots created from a combination of the
multiple cameras. The very same technology will be in place during tonight's game,
thanks to the efforts of researchers at Carnegie Mellon, under the direction of Takeo Kanade.
