Newsletter Week 9

Week 9 is an important marker for all of our projects, with halves coming up on Wednesday, we continued with debugging, integrating as well as preparing for our presentation.

Our efforts were well rewarded as our product and presentation got good feedback, and our clients were very pleased with our progress.

Here we provide a video recording of our halves presentation.

Our team took a break after our presentation on Wednesday, and followed up with an internal playtest of our game on Friday, as follows is a series of feedback received.

1. Players seemed to want to unveil the story more than to play the mini game, making it such that the mini game is an obstruction, rather than an incentive.

2. The mini game was confusing to many players without a tutorial.

3. There seemed to be some bugs, as well as lagging issues when players need to download from dropbox

4. There are many many UX improvements that need to be done with minigame 1, from prompts, proper feedback, to gameplay flow all need to be worked on.

5. Bombs had issues, players were hard pressed to figure out who the suspect is already, the addition of bombs did not help in any way, also, overlapping icons and bombs made it very hard for players to play.
