Our team

Mário Dinis J Pinto
Mário graduated from an undergrad with Communication and Multimedia Design. After working as multimedia designer, he decided to change his track into the entertainment industry and enrolled the joint Master of Entertainment Technology.

For weTheme, he represented the team as the project front-end, the producer: mediating the communication between the client and the team; establishing contacts and relationship with user testers and schools; mediating logistics between team needs and university services. He scheduled the project and kept the production on schedule; fulfilling the needs of team in equipment, workload and leisure; buffering communication between advisors and the team; conflict and problem solving. Aside from being a producer, he worked as an assistant animator and renderer for Ilha Musical; and as a compositor and story assistant for O Faroleiro e a Espada, and the sound designer for both experiences. He built the camera rig and four screen prototype for the project.

His passion is to become a multi-purpose problem solver for any given project.

António Gomes António Gomes holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from Coimbra Institute of Engineering and also a Bachelor of Communication and Multimedia Design from Coimbra School of Superior Education where he learned to work both with artists and technologists.

He was the programmer and technical lead for the weTheme. Having worked on the art side for the past four years, this role was a challenge for him since he did not have previous experience with the majority of the tools the team used for the project; but he committed himself to work hard to implement all the assets the artists gave him, and in the end, the expectations of the team were fulfilled. He also built camera rig and four screen prototype for the project.

He is passionate about creating interactive prototypes that encourage communication with technology for entertainment purposes. He hopes to pursue a PhD in Digital Media, either right after graduation or after acquiring experience in a place where he can use his skills to develop interactive experiences in immersive environments.
