Week 7

Hello!

For week 7, Sharan and Rajeev were gone to GDC so the rest of us worked on this agenda.

1. “Red light, Green light” with Cozmo – “Red light and Green light” is a physical exercise game and we explored if this experience can be possible with Cozmo. This idea will be prototyped by next week!

Feedback from client meeting

  • Compared to the regular “red light and green light”, the distance will have to be shortened. How to compensate and reinforce the experience?
  • How much would ambient noise (in the background) affect the experience?

2. Alexa technology integration – This idea that we pitched last week was explored to see the technical capabilities and limitations.

Feedback from client meeting

  • The “story” need to come first before the technology is explored. – different scenarios can be explored to go deep into the user case for this idea.

However, most importantly, we came up with more “new Ideas” and shared with our clients!

Trick master – customize your own tricks only between you and Cozmo. With the customizable face change feature.

Cell phone notification – Cozmo react to the notifications you get from personal cell phone.

Hangman – Cozmo becomes the hangman and the intensity and drama when you play the game can be fun to watch.

  • Could be interesting. Bidirectional game mechanic where both user and Cozmo can have turn playing. – words library could be integrated to make Cozmo feel super smart.
  • What is the input method?

Cozmo as a game master using text communication in tabletop RPG?

  • What is the story? Mafia? Liar’s dice? Game using secret information pipeline between Cozmo and users through text message
  • What is the story and the flow?
  • Multiplayer aspect is good.

Quiz Master – Cozmo gives the questions and whoever pushes the cubes first gets the question.

  • Good to incorporate intuitive cube-as-buzzer mechanic.

Board games (Snakes and ladders, Monopoly) – Cozmo as the avatar of the game and there could be interaction between you and Cozmo based on the performance of a player.

  • Already been done and the information is in the forum.

After sharing our ideas, our clients pointed out a list of ideas that we can prototype for next week!

  1. Red light and green light.
  2. Hangman.
  3. Quiz Master.
  4. Multiplayer game ideas with Cozmo as a facilitator.
  5. Experience using flashcards.

And finally, our client really made clear standards for our final deliverables.

  1. Simple ideas and make it good. – everything in the experience should feel clear and clear.
  2. Replayability.   – Experience need to feel engaging after replaying.

Next week, we will choose 4 more ideas from the list above and will work our last week of prototype!
