Week 11

Hi again!

For this week, each of us came up with different ideas about the theming of the Cozmo world and have decided that we make a paper prototype Cozmo world where Cozmo delivers “lights” to different colored buildings.

We have built the city with cardboards and color pages, and an remote control to maneuver Cozmo. For this week, we manually triggered different animations and color on the cubes to implement the full experience. Here is the video of it!

On the Playtest Day, we had a lot of valuable observations and learnings from our playtesters. Most of them were 9-12 years old.

Here are our main takeaways from our playtest day on Saturday.

  1. Remote control is very hard for children. – It would be nicer to have 4 buttons to be clear.
  2. Roads need to have dividers.
  3. There need to be specific zones for Cozmo to drop cubes.
  4. Cozmo delivering things through cube is intuitive even for kids.

Next week, we will be compiling the findings and use them to make our next iterated Cozmo world.
