Farewell ETC-SV Class of Spring ’09

Sunday, May 17th, 2009 posted by carl

Final presentations were May 12th, and now it’s time we say goodbye to our excellent teams and dear friends. Ten of our eleven students this semester are graduating, and first year student Sunny will be joining DreamWorks Animation in LA for a co-op next year. Six of the students spent multiple semesters out here with us, including Siyang, Youngwook and Linhan who where here for three of their four ETC semesters.

Trino is being reviewed at XNA Creators Club

Wednesday, May 6th, 2009 posted by linhan

Finally, Trino team is submitting the game to Xbox 360 Community Games.

In order to release Trino on Xbox 360, it is required to go through a process called “Peer Review”. We are currently in this process, waiting for peer XNA developers to review our game. After certain amount of people review it, Microsoft will release it on Xbox 360.

If you are a member of XNA Creators Club, please check out Trino!

You can call Trino as a “shooter”, but you don’t really shoot.
IT IS SIMPLE! IT IS FUN!

Dinner at Carl’s

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009 posted by carl

It’s now officially a tradition – near the end of each semester everyone comes over to my house for dinner. We’ve expanded it a bit and now include all our local ETC-SV alumnae – which means we’re officially beyond our seating capacity.

Last Friday was this semester’s dinner. The plan was to BBQ and enjoy the beautiful, warm, sunny, California spring evening. But it rained, so we had to cram all 20 of us inside the house. Great food, great company, pool, cotton candy and plenty of iPhone games. Good times.
