Matt was born and raised in Pittsburgh and earned his B.A. in Film Studies from the University of Pittsburgh, during which he explored aspects of film production, including screenwriting, directing, and editing. After graduating, Matt continued his path through the film industry by extending his internship as a script reader for Abbot Management, being a freelance editor and production assistant for Steeltown Entertainment, and working on various freelance projects such as the 48hr film festival. Concurrently, he worked at Carnegie Mellon University managing multimedia technology for the Psychology Department. It was there that he was introduced to the Entertainment Technology Center.
Matt joined the Entertainment Technology Center to combine his interests in film and technology in order to create experiences that tell compelling visual stories and leave lasting impressions on the audience. He hopes to bring the experience he gains at the ETC into a creative career in the entertainment industry.
