The ETC was fortunate to host Don Rawitsch, a co-creator of the legendary ed tech game “The Oregon Trail”.  The original game was developed in 1971 and has seen countless remixes including our own Jesse Schell’s “Orion Trail”.  In his presentation, Don blazed through the game’s history and development providing many insights for those at the ETC pursuing interested in the educational space.  While technologies and education have changed since the pioneering days of “The Oregon Trail”, it is interesting to note that one of few titles recognized by the World Video Game Hall of Fame was in fact created in the halls of academia.
