Week 10

We worked really hard this week to get everything ready for the next big day, Playtest day in ETC, which was scheduled on November 2. We made a plan for the playtest and distributed responsibilities among all the team members. We tweaked the design for the models that viewers could place in the game. In the latest design, viewers could choose one game piece in the mobile application and this game piece would be placed in the game randomly. This game piece when collected by the streamer would play the sound that was collected by the respective viewer. This made it easier for everyone to recognize their objects in the game and also request the streamer to collect their game pieces.

Viewer Game Pieces

We faced the biggest challenge this week as we could not get the back end to work as we had planned. This forced to us to come up with creative ideas to modify our mobile application and the game so that it could work for the playtest. For the playtest, we decided to put two people in one team since we had only 12 android phones but 17 play testers. Then, we let them record and upload sounds and then watch the game in Twitch.
