Week 10

This week we had our second round of process grades. We are also settling into our new schedule of things with this being our second week working remotely.

Kathryn has made progress on the plan for the workshop now that it will need to be run remotely, via Zoom, Skype, or some alternative.

Jack is planning out how the physical game can be accomplished now that we are completely remote.

Sitong has finished modelling a few characters this week. They are going well so she will be able to get 5 characters done rather than the 3 we had originally planned, which is great. The more characters we can add, the more diversity we can include.

Kuan has the networking working, for our digital game that he characters will go into.

Because the digital game would be a multiplayer game with 5 – 8 participants, for this week, we set up the basic login interfaces with Photon, like connecting to the server, entering the lobby, creating a room.

This identity mapping brainstorm from Brendan turned into this wireframe.

With Kuan working on the digital game, Jim will begin work programming another activity, from the wireframe about Identity Mapping shown earlier.

Besides the digital game of session 2, we also start planning on digital experience for session 1 & 3. We consider session 1 with higher priority since a customized sharing scenario can effectively motivate guests to the workshop getting out of their comfort zone quickly. In order to remain consistency, we start implementing the session 1 digital version, which is called identity mapping session as an .exe build which supports both Mac OS and Windows.
