2: Introduction

Sounds: The
ambient sounds crescendo to signify the beginning of the show. When the dialog begins, ambient sound ends.
Associate a different sound with the activation of each color
of laser. Start the ambient sounds
again when transitioning to Scene 3: Painting Plants. Duration: 30
seconds. Interactivity: None. |

3: Painting Plants

Dialog:
“Now
it’s your turn!” (when a plant appears (there will be 4))
<interesting fact about plants or the environment> (when the fossil is completed successfully)
“Well done!” (if they fail to color the fossil) “Good
try. Let’s move on.” Sounds: Quiet
ambient sounds begin when the first plant appears, and remain throughout. Associate triggered sounds with a given color
laser turning on and a plant being fully painted. Also have sounds associated with the lake, trees,
etc., so that when we move around the world, we hear the change in sound
based on proximity. Duration: approximately
2 minutes. Interactivity: Each group of people (by neon color) paint
one plant. The max time for each
plant is 30 seconds. Each group
goes in series. |

4: Painting Raptors

Dialog:
“Now
we’ll try bringing some dinosaurs back to life!” (when
the raptors are being painted in you are taught facts about the raptors
and foreshadow the upcoming interaction with the trex. (when
the fossils are painted in you are congradulated, but if they are not
then you are encouraged to do so. Sounds: Quiet
ambient sounds of the world, volume changes based on proximity when
we move through the world. Associate
triggered sounds with a given color laser turning on and a raptor being
fully painted. Also need sounds
for raptor bones animating from a pile into a skeleton, and whatever
actions the raptor does when alive (walking, snapping teeth.) Duration: approximately
2 minutes. Interactivity: Each group of people (by neon color) paint
one raptor. The max time for
each raptor is 30 seconds. Each
group goes in series. |

5: Painting T-Rex

Dialog:
“And
now we’ll bring the Tyrannosaurus Rex back to life! The raptors will try to stop you, but you can
scare them away by painting them with bio-bubbles.” (when the T-rex appears) <interesting fact about T-rex> (while T-rex painting is occuring) <another interesting
fact about T-rex, foreshadowing defending the nest> (if/when the fossils aren’t getting painted)
“Use your lasers and point at the fossil to bring it back to life!” Sounds: Quiet
ambient sounds of the world. Associate
triggered sounds with Trex bones animating
into a skeleton, a given color laser turning on, a raptor running away
in fear, a raptor successfully reaching the Trex
(and popping bio-bubbles.) Duration: approximately
1.5 minutes. Interactivity: Each group of people (by neon color) paint part of the Trex. The max time
for each group is 20 seconds. Each
group goes in series. |
Scene 6: Outro – Win/Lose scenarios

If the guests successfully paint the Trex
in the allotted time, they receive the win scenario.
Visuals: Prerendered scene: the Trex comes to life with a froth
of bubbles (via a particle system effect) and it’s
skeleton changes to a skin. The Trex gives
a huge roar, and then grabs a raptor in it’s
jaws, while we do a matrix-esque timeslice
of the scene. Camera: Matrix
timeslice when the Trex
grabs the raptor. Dialog: “The
Tyrannosaurus Rex is the king of the island!” Sounds: The
Trex coming to life, dino battle Duration: 20
seconds. Interactivity: None. Scene
6b: Outro – Lose scenario
If the guests fail to paint the Trex in
the allotted time, they receive the lose scenario. Visuals: Prerendered scene: the bones of the Trex crumble to
the ground, and the raptors run towards the camera while biting and
snapping towards the camera. Camera: The
camera doesn’t move. Dialog: “The
raptors are the kings of the island!” Sounds: Trex crumbling,
raptors running, raptors biting/snapping. Duration: 20
seconds. Interactivity: None. |
