We have our Boston trip on Monday this week. In a relatively short amount of time, we have a tour at EMD Billerica. It’s our pleasure to have Dr. Michael Cunningham, associate director of EMD who has been working on the training session for years, to give us a brief introduction of their products and a hands-on session for Mobius Bioreactor. We also had the chance to talk with Janice, one of the designers and inventors of Mobius family, to know more about the process. She talked about some practical problems and common issues that would normally happen during the usage of the Bioreactor.
Before the trip, we were a little bit overwhelmed by the complexity of our target equipment, it’s great that we clarified a lot of things during the trip. From now on, we would do more experiment and exploration of creating a new training method to help experienced technicians refresh the operating process with flexible content. This gives us more freedom to explore rather than just focus on one specified equipment.
On Wednesday we have our quarter walk around when all faculty members in ETC would come to our project room to give us feedback. Also on Friday Professor Jesse Schell and Dave Culyba spent half an hour each to give us more detailed feedback.
For the future, we’ve finalized our platform to Microsoft Hololens, which we think would be really powerful for real-time instruction and feedback. We would continue working on new ways to create instant reward and feedback in order to enhance the sense of progress for users. Next week, we would deliver our first prototype to our client.
