This week we had our soft opening on Monday. 16 faculties and 1 guest from game industry tested our app. We got a lot of useful feedback from them. Generally the app is easy to use and understand, but we still have room to improve.
There are some confusing instructions on UI that we need to change to improve the user experience. For example on the image 1a below, people try to press the camera button every time. However, this page is only one part of tutorial. The camera button is not intractable here. So we decided to add a Tutorial tile on the top to address that it is just an instruction.
The other user experience that we can quickly improve is that on the card game page in Image 2, players tend to press the number button to activate camera for next step instead of press the camera the button to do this work. Thus we transferred the camera button function to the number buttons.
Besides user experience feedback, the other important thing we realize to be very urgent is how to promote our app and help people understand the reason why we choose some specific technology and what it can bring us. Hence we made a table describing the benefits of different technologies.
