The results of our playtest were very positive, if you recall from our earlier newsletters, the 3 goals we aimed to achieve with this project were, Appeal, Intuitivity and Experience. From the data we gathered, kids loved the look and feel of our environment. Spectators who were watching beside them were also drawn in by the rich colours and beautiful characters. Having a multiplayer game also enriched our user experience, inciting competition between our users. All our users report that they would love to play the game again with their friends and for some, even with their parents.

However, while many of our users felt like the controls of the game was easy to pick up, what they were trying to do with controller did not map well within the game. Many users (37%) pointed out that it was difficult to make precision shots at the target and it was causing some frustration because they could not achieve the score they desired.

With this feedback, we have made a decision to port the game completely onto gyroscope controls. Users will be able to simply point their devices towards the enemy they wish to engage and start shooting shurikens at them. Even if they do not hit the target on their first shot, it is easy to adjust your aim due to the accuracy and sensitivity of the gyroscope. With the implementation of this system we hope that users will have a greatly improved user experience.
